Immunizations
Immunizations are another very important part of keeping your child healthy. Getting your child fully immunized on schedule is crucial to prevent life threatening illnesses. We follow the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and American College of Immunizations Practices (ACIP) recommended vaccine schedules.

Summit Pediatrics feels that well child care exams play an important role in keeping children healthy. These longer visits provide an opportunity for us to examine your child’s growth and development, and discuss age specific health, behavior and safety issues. These exams often include a vision/hearing screening, lab work and routine immunizations. We encourage families to bring a list of questions they have regarding their child’s health and development to well child care visits. We look forward to getting to know you and your child as we work together during the years of infancy, childhood and adolescence. We recommend well child care exams at 2 weeks, 2 months, 4 months, 6 months, 9 months, 12 months, 15 months, 18 months, and 2 years. After 2 years of age, we recommend annual well child care exams.
